Nice one! This sentence really made me pondered: "Tell me...who is broken here? Is it you,or is it me?". ie is a broken "you" (mirror) a reflection of a me, and/or is the thought of broken "me" a reflection of illusion I lived in?
The "you" is the reflection of me but a different version and "me" is the current version. They are the same in a way but also different, so the question comes out as in who is actually broken, the version I was or the version I'm. Thank you so much for reading.
The ticking of clock rang through my ears as if acknowledging the brutal similarity. The similarity about how I kept counting reasons to disappear while the clock counted seconds - love this line
There's generally something, in everything, that makes enough noise that it embeds itself somewhere in our minds, or hearts, or soul, or any other place you deem deeply important. For me, with this piece it was - Not enough to light the room. But enough to convince me that darkness hadn't engulfed me,yet. - Now, whether or not my perspective is awash with darkness, I can't help but wonder if, it hasn't engulfed you yet, then perhaps the darkness isn't as forboding as we feel it is.
This is one of the most beautiful responses I've ever received to something I've written. Thank you for reading it so deeply and for leaving a piece of yourself here.
This piece is deeply moving and so sooo beautifully written. The way the raw haumann emotion and subtle hope are captured through the mirror imagery trulyyy resonated with me, it says tge exact feeling of looking at ourself when we're overwhelmed and somehow finding the quiet strength to keep going. thiss sooo well articulated.. Im in awe of your writting skilll😩🤍
Really well written. The image, such a great selection.
Sometimes survival is victory too. To not give up in the face of what seems like insurmountable odds takes character and strength!
Thank you so much

I allow the words to simply spill from wherever they originate. Thank you for writing it.
This piece felt hurting and reflecting
Thanks for sharing and keep writing 💫
Just highlighting this part
My soul was forgetting its own language. My breath had already begun packing its bags.
Somewhere between another heartbeat and another apology to myself, something stirred deep within me.
But somewhere beneath all that ruin, there was the faintest flicker of hope.
Until then, I'll keep standing before it,piece by piece, becoming someone who survived what almost convinced her she never would.
“Not enough to light the room, but enough to keep the darkness from winning.”
That feeling is captured so honestly here.
Subscribed. 🤍
